protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This
Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your
information when you use the Smartshelf mobile application and related
services (the "Service").
By using Smartshelf, you agree to the collection and use of
information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree,
please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:

your name, email address, and password (stored encrypted).

details, and inventory data you enter into the app including product
names, quantities, prices, and barcodes.

including features accessed, scan counts, and session duration.

Device Information: Device type, operating system
version, and push notification tokens for alert delivery.

Images: Product photos you choose to capture and
upload for inventory items. These are stored securely in our cloud
storage.

Payment Information: Billing is handled by Stripe.
We do not store your credit card details. We receive confirmation of
payment status and subscription tier only.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Smartshelf Service
- Sync your inventory data across devices and team members

- Process payments and manage your subscription

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your inventory
data for advertising purposes.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in two places:

Local Storage: Inventory data is stored on your
device using SQLite for offline access. This data remains on your
device until you uninstall the app or wipe your local database.

Cloud Storage: Data is synced to Supabase, a secure
cloud database provider. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS
and at rest using AES-256 encryption.
We implement industry-standard security measures including row-level
security policies, encrypted connections, and access controls.
However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third
parties. We may share information with:

Team Members: Within your organization, members you
invite can view and update shared inventory data based on their
assigned role.

Service Providers: We use Supabase (database and
storage), Stripe (payments), and Expo (push notifications) as
infrastructure providers. Each is bound by their own privacy
policies and data processing agreements.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if
required by law, court order, or government authority.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you
delete your account, we will permanently delete your organization's
data, inventory records, and personal information within 30 days,
except where retention is required by law.
You can request deletion of your account at any time from within the
app under Profile โ Delete Account.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Export your inventory data as a CSV file
- Withdraw consent for optional data processing

8. Children's Privacy
Smartshelf is a business tool intended for users aged 18 and older. We
do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you
believe a child has provided us with personal information, please
contact us immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of
significant changes by posting a notice within the app or sending an
email to your registered address. Continued use of Smartshelf after
changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
